昭和の終わり、再開発のため古い町を地上げ屋が動いた。だが、一人だけ土地を手放さない頑固な老女がいた。彼女は暴力や冤罪で追い出されるが、その後、地上げに関わった者たちは次々と不可解な死を遂げていく。彼らを追い詰めたのは、老女の最後の言葉「全部解き放ってしまった」が意味するものだった。
